The movie Wargames (1983) was for many the ultimate Hacker movie, (I actually also liked Sneakers). You probably remember the big screens in the mission control room of what was supposed to be NORAD.

For a mere $17 you can now start a global thermonuclear war on your PC. Introversion released the game DEFCON - Everybody Dies, which was apparently one of the most anticipated games of the year.
